Classical:NEXT is the largest global gathering of professionals for all sectors of classical and art music. The annual event consists of an interactive conference, project pitches, showcase concerts, expo, innovation award and networking. Classical:NEXT brings together artists, managers, presenters, orchestras, labels, educators, press, media, publishers and more, providing them with a place to meet and connect, do business, brainstorm, create and be inspired. It aims to help the global scene optimise what this art form is and can be, as well as how it is presented, disseminated and received.

PR & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

With a small team working year round, the role went beyond that of purely head of communications. Each of us contribute when and as necessary to help support the team and to continue to realise the full potential of the event. 

Main responsibilities include:
- Writing and mailing all press releases and regular newsletters
- Working and collaborating with local event partners
- Organising press accreditation and registrations
- Organising and managing all press interviews and on-site press area

- Organising external PR and additional industry networking events throughout the year to keep up sector engagement and press relations
- Copywriting and proofreading of all internal & external texts (programme, website, speeches, etc.)
- Contribution to, maintenance of and creating and sharing of content across all social media platforms
- Conducting interviews on site, including planning, prepping and filming
- Managing the CRM Database
- Point of contact for all delegations, politicians, press representatives and attendees during the event
- Representing Classical:NEXT as a guest and/or speaker at international conferences and events:
